From Your Principal...
At Hoboken Elementary, we believe in more than just teaching; we’re dedicated to nurturing each child’s potential in every way. Our staff’s genuine care for students goes beyond academics, embracing their emotional well-being, too. This year, our focus is on identifying and addressing students' academic needs through targeted classroom instruction, specific support during WIN (What I Need) time, and a renewed emphasis on reading. HES teachers work diligently to pinpoint academic deficits and close those gaps through thoughtful intervention. Our mission—Make a Difference by inspiring students to Believe, Achieve, and Succeed—is more than words; it’s the commitment we bring to life every day. This shared dedication is what truly sets our school apart.
Hoboken Elementary School has been recognized as a Title I High Performing School, a distinguished National Blue Ribbon School, and has earned the "Beating the Odds" recognition for academic achievement from the Governor’s Office. Our most recent distinction, however, came from State Superintendent Richard Woods where we received banners for academic growth in both ELA and Math. These achievements reflect our commitment to high standards and to the success of every student.
I am excited to be part of Hoboken Elementary School and look forward to watching us grow!
Sincerely--Marcia Chesser
